This Saturday from 10am-4pm, RAIN OR SHINE, Hindley School will be transformed into a bustling fairground offering everything from carnival rides (for children of all ages) to games, food, cotton candy and more. Here are a few insider tips to help ensure you have as much fun as possible: – WEAR SNEAKERS — Especially if has rained recently, because the ground will be slushy, but also because you will be doing a LOT of walking and standing in lines and you’ll want to be comfortable. – BRING A STROLLER — If you have any question about your little one’s stamina, bring the stroller. You can roll it right onto the field and all around the fair. – PLAN TO PARK FAR AWAY — Although parking is a challenge every year, this year it will be especially so because half of the Noroton Presbyterian Church parking lot is cordoned off for construction, and Lawrence Funeral Home will also be having a service that day so their parking lot will be full, and parking along the Post Road will be extra competitive. – EARLY BIRD ADMISSION for children with special needs — Hindley will be opening the fair up at 9am for children with special needs so they have a chance to enjoy the festivities before the crowds. – WEAR SUN BLOCK AND SHORT SLEEVES — there is very little shade! – DON’T MISS THE FACE PAINTING, IT WILL BE EXCEPTIONAL THIS YEAR — Okay, we’re just saying this because one of us happens to be running the booth for the first time this year and wants lots of people to come If any other Hindley Happening alums wish to share some tips in the Comments below, we’d all appreciate it!
